Zomato Introduces Book Now Sell Anytime A Revolutionary Ticket Booking Feature

Zomato, one of India’s leading platforms, has launched a first-of-its-kind feature called “Book Now, Sell Anytime,” aimed at making ticket booking more flexible and stress-free for customers. This innovative service, exclusively available on the Zomato app, is designed to address the common uncertainties associated with booking tickets well in advance.

How Does It Work?

The feature allows customers to book tickets to their favorite events as soon as they are live on the Zomato app. If plans change, users can list their tickets for sale on the same platform, setting a price within the limits specified by the event organizer. Once another customer purchases the listed ticket, the original ticket is canceled, and a new ticket is issued to the buyer, fully authenticated by Zomato. The seller receives the full value of their listed price, subject to applicable taxes, through their preferred payment method.

Safeguards Against Misuse

Zomato is committed to maintaining fair practices within the events industry. To prevent black market touting and unfair pricing, the company has implemented several checks:

  • Customers can purchase up to 10 tickets per category, all of which can be listed for resale.
  • Continuous monitoring of the platform will be in place to detect and prevent misuse of the feature.
  • Each event will have a set cap on ticket prices to ensure fair market value.

Zomato hopes this feature will empower customers, eliminate second-guessing when booking in advance, and foster a more consumer-friendly ticketing environment. The feature will debut during the Zomato Feeding India Concert, going live a couple of weeks before the event.
